You are what you eat. Our goat herd is pasture-based and our goat milk is seasonal. Not only do our goats graze on diverse perennial grass, legume and forbs pasture, they also browse on the leaves of nutritious tree leaves. This system of planting browse trees in pasture is called "silvopasture." It is listed as one of the top 10 agricultural practices for reducing greenhouse gas emissions!

We believe our exceptional goat milk quality reflects the diversity of their diet and the humane treatment we provide to our working girls.

We raise our herd of La Mancha, Nubian and Nubian X La Mancha crosses according to the strict standards of Animal Welfare Approved by “A Greener World.”  These standards are considered the gold standard of pasture-based and high animal welfare livestock production. They insist that livestock are raised in ways that allow them to express their natural behaviors. It is considered the "gold standard" certification for livestock production. Our goats have been AWA certified since 2010.
