BABY GOATS
Prairie Fruits Farm offers a volunteer "Kidding Season" program. Volunteers help feed and take care of the babies in the spring. Kidding season starts from March to May. Volunteers need to be able to spend an hour or two at the farm, in a time slot that best fits their individual schedule. We are looking for volunteers to spend time with the babies for feedings in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Tentative feeding schedules are 7 am, noon, and 4:30 pm. To participate you must attend an orientation. GOAT "DOCENT"
During our farm store's open hours on Saturdays and Sundays, we would like to have a goat volunteer present from 12-3 PM to answer guests' questions about the goats and provide guidance on how best to interact with them. Our season runs from April-December, and we'd like to have one docent for Saturday and Sunday open hours. We also need help during special events like "Babies & Brunch" (April"), "Goaty Halloween" and "Holiday Goat Photo Booth" (December). For more details, email us prairiefruits@gmail.com
