Little Bloom on the Prairie - Our Award-Winning Cheese
Recently named one of the World's Best Cheeses by Culture Magazine and a 2024 Gold Medal winner at the American Cheese Society Competition in New York, our Little Bloom pays homage to the classic Camembert of Normandy, France, with a distinctly Prairie twist.
This beloved cheese showcases the perfect marriage of local Jersey cow milk and our own goat milk (available April through December). Each wheel develops a delicate white bloomy rind – completely edible and full of flavor – protecting a creamy, buttery interior. As it ripens, the cheese transforms, developing an irresistibly gooey texture at the edges and deepening into complex notes of buttered mushrooms.
While perfect on its own, Little Bloom shines when paired with local honey, seasonal jams, artisanal crackers, cured meats, or a crusty baguette.
We are currently awaiting for its spring 2025 return after kidding season in April!

Keep refrigerated and temper for 30 minutes prior to enjoyment. This cheese is alive and continues to ripen in the ripening paper over time. It will get more gooey and stronger in flavor as it ages.
