Woodworking Basics: Build Your Own Small Patio Table

Have you ever wanted to build something yourself but weren't sure where to start? This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to help you gain confidence using power tools while building a simple, functional patio table.

In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to safely use a circular saw, measure and mark lumber, make straight cuts, and assemble a sturdy project using drills and drivers. Each participant will build their own patio table to take home while practicing skills that can be applied to future DIY projects.

Your instructor, Mariah Madison of Let's Eat Mud, is a local handywoman, educator, and builder who converted a retired school bus into her full-time tiny home. Just a few years ago, she had little experience using power tools herself. Today, she helps homeowners gain confidence with tools and teaches practical skills through hands-on workshops. Her motto is simple: Repair. Build. Teach.
