Celebrate the return of spring with a guided Spring Migration Bird Walk along the Saline Branch, the eastern edge of Prairie Fruits Farm. Join PFFC founder Leslie Cooperband for a peaceful morning bird-watching excursion as migratory birds pass through central Illinois on their journey to breeding grounds.

Spring migration is one of the most exciting times of year for bird enthusiasts. Colorful songbirds and migratory waterfowl stop along the Saline Branch corridor, and some even choose to nest in our region thanks to ongoing habitat restoration efforts.


What You'll Do

During this one-hour guided walk, Leslie will lead participants along the Saline Branch while pointing out migrating bird species and sharing insights about bird behavior, migration patterns, and habitat restoration.

Participants will enjoy a relaxed walk while observing birds, listening for calls, and learning how to spot different species in their natural habitat.
