Together, we'll break down the basics of sourdough in a practical, approachable way—no complicated terminology or prior baking experience required. You'll learn how a sourdough starter works, how to care for it, and what to look for as it grows into a healthy, active culture ready for baking.


What You'll Do

In this interactive workshop, you'll create and care for your own sourdough starter while learning the essential techniques for long-term success. You'll practice mixing and feeding a starter, recognize the signs of a healthy culture, and learn simple troubleshooting tips for common challenges.

By the end of class, you'll head home with your own starter and everything you need to confidently continue the process in your own kitchen.

Parking & Location:

You can find general parking in the gravel lot. An ADA parking pad is available south of the Farm house. The classroom is located in the white building with the black trim west of the gardens. Check in at the Farm store in the front of the building.
