What You'll Learn

Everyone faces tough situations. The difference is how we respond. Some people seem to adapt, recover, and even grow stronger from difficulties—while others struggle to move forward. What makes the difference?

This session explores the science of resilience: what characteristics resilient people and organizations possess that help them create opportunities from challenges. More importantly, you'll learn practical strategies to nurture and strengthen resilience in yourself and others.

Topics covered:

  • What defines resilience

  • Key characteristics of highly resilient people

  • How resilient individuals turn challenges into opportunities

  • Strategies for building your own resilience

  • Supporting resilience in others (family, coworkers, community)

  • Practical tools you can use immediately

  • Creating systems that support bouncing back
