Discover the abundance of wild edible foods growing all around you in this engaging and educational workshop. Ethical and Safe Foraging introduces you to the surprising world of edible “weeds” and native plants—many of which are rich in nutrients and often overlooked.

Learn how to confidently identify, harvest, and enjoy wild foods while respecting the environment and practicing safe, responsible foraging.

What You'll Do

During this interactive session, you’ll explore common wild edibles found in our local area and learn how to recognize them in their natural habitats. You’ll gain practical knowledge about where it is safe to forage and how to harvest plants in a way that supports sustainability.

Weather permitting, the group will head outdoors to explore Prairie Fruits Farm and identify wild edible plants in real time, bringing the learning experience to life.
