Our first selection is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer—a beautiful exploration of Indigenous wisdom, scientific knowledge, and the teachings of plants.

About the Book

Braiding Sweetgrass weaves together Indigenous wisdom, scientific knowledge, and the teachings of plants. Robin Wall Kimmerer, a botanist and member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, invites us to see the natural world as a teacher and to recognize our reciprocal relationship with the earth.

This book resonates deeply with farm life, regenerative agriculture, and our connection to the land—making it a perfect choice for our first book club gathering.

Come prepared to discuss the book, share your favorite passages, and explore themes of reciprocity, gratitude, and our relationship with the natural world.

Support Local: We recommend purchasing Braiding Sweetgrass at The Literary, 122 N Neil St, Champaign. Support local booksellers!
