About the event
Bonnie’s Baskets: “Porch Basket” Workshop
April 12, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
$75 per person
Create a beautiful handmade Porch Basket in this hands-on weaving workshop led by Bonnie Rideout of Bonnie’s Baskets. This charming and functional basket features a woven filled base, a sturdy D-handle, and an adorable embellishment of squirrels playing on a fence—perfect for display or everyday use.
The finished basket measures approximately 8" H x 7¼" W x 13½" L (not including the handle) and is woven with a 7" x 17" D handle. While the example basket shown is stained, participants will complete their baskets unstained and will learn staining techniques during the workshop.

About Your Instructor
Bonnie Rideout wove her first basket in 1994 and quickly became hooked. What began as a passion grew into a full-time career when she launched Bonnie’s Baskets in 2006. As her business expanded, Bonnie built a dedicated workshop on her property and began designing her own basket patterns.
In 2018, she left her “regular” job to focus on Bonnie’s Baskets full-time. Bonnie has taught basketry in 18 states and continues to travel and share her craft with basket makers across the country.
