Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery invites you out for a day dedicated to honey, from the hive to the table.
What to expect:
Honey tastings & hive tours with Kelly Lay, our farm educator and beekeeper. She'll walk you through how our bees make honey and how the plants they visit shape its flavor.
A talk on bees and pollinators with Rena Wilson Jones, representing the Central Eastern Illinois Beekeeping Association. Her honey will also be available for purchase.
Kids Corner, with bee themed activities for the youngest guests.
Brunch at Caprae, 9am to 2pm, featuring honey centered specials for the day. Make Reservations Here
Farm Store, stocked with honey and bee inspired products.
Goat photo booth, featuring one of our goats dressed for the occasion in a bee costume, plus visits with the rest of the herd.
Vendors: Wright Soapery (artisan soaps) and Smiling Snake T-shirt Co (nature inspired screen printed shirts and stickers)
