About Your Instructor
Bonnie Rideout wove her first basket in 1994 and quickly became hooked. What started as a passion became her full-time career when she launched Bonnie's Baskets in 2006, teaching others how to weave from her basement. The business grew to include basketry supplies, embellishments, and selling baskets at local craft and art shows.
As her business expanded, Bonnie built a workshop on her property and began designing her own basket patterns—discovering she absolutely loves the challenge of design and pattern writing. In 2018, she left her "regular" job to make Bonnie's Baskets full-time.
Bonnie has taught basketry in 18 states and continues to add more to that list. Through basketry, she has traveled extensively and met amazing people along the way. Visit www.bonniesbasketsil.com or find her on Facebook and Instagram.
