Craft your own custom soy candle on Sunday, March 22 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Prairie Fruits Farm Classroom.

Fire Doll Studio will guide you through the art and science of candle making in this hands-on workshop. You'll blend fragrance, pour natural wax, and learn the fundamentals of clean-burning candle design, all while surrounded by serene countryside and fresh farm air.

What You'll Create

Each guest will create their own hand-poured soy candle, custom-scented and made by you. Along the way, you'll learn about fragrance layering, wax temperatures, wick selection, and the small details that make a candle burn beautifully.

Note: Candles will need to cure overnight and can be picked up the following day at either Prairie Fruits Farm or at Fire Doll Studio in downtown Champaign.

Fire Doll Studio is a downtown Champaign-based artisan candle maker specializing in handcrafted, clean-burning soy candles. With expertise in fragrance design and natural wax techniques, Fire Doll Studio brings professional candle-making knowledge to accessible, hands-on workshops.

What's Included: All materials (soy wax, fragrance oils, containers, wicks), hands-on instruction, custom-scented candle to take home (pickup following day)

Pro tip: Come early to explore Prairie Fruits Farm, grab a snack at the Farm Store, and settle into a cozy, creative evening.

Parking & Location

You can find general parking in the gravel lot. An ADA parking pad is available south of the Farm house. The classroom is located in the white building with the black trim west of the gardens. Check in at the Farm store in the front of the building.
