In this hands-on workshop, you’ll make your own quart of Fire Cider while learning about its history, traditional uses, and even the fascinating story behind the fight over the name “Fire Cider.” You’ll leave with your own jar to finish infusing at home and the knowledge to make future batches yourself.
What You'll Do
We’ll walk through the process of making Fire Cider from start to finish, exploring the different ingredients traditionally used and how they come together in this well-known herbal preparation.
You’ll prepare and combine your ingredients, build your own customized batch, and learn how to properly steep, strain, and store your Fire Cider at home.
Along the way, we’ll also dive into the history of Fire Cider, its place in folk herbalism, and the story of the herbal community’s fight to keep the name available for everyone to use.

No previous herbalism experience is necessary. This workshop is beginner-friendly and designed for anyone curious about traditional herbal preparations and making Fire Cider at home.

You can find general parking in the gravel lot. An ADA parking pad is available south of the Farm house. The classroom is located in the white building with the black trim west of the gardens. Check in at the Farm store in the front of the building.
