What You'll Learn
In this approachable, two-hour workshop, you'll create your own artisan soap from scratch using natural, easy-to-obtain ingredients. Jackie demystifies the cold-process method, guiding you step-by-step through the science and creativity of soap making.
By the end of class, you'll understand:
The chemistry behind saponification (soap making)
How to safely work with lye
The role of oils, butters, and additives in soap recipes
Natural coloring and scenting techniques
Proper curing and storage methods
How to continue soap making at home
What You'll Create
Each participant will make their own mini-loaf of cold-process soap to take home. Choose your preferred scents and natural colorants to personalize your creation. Your soap will need to cure for 4-6 weeks before use—we'll provide instructions for proper curing and cutting.

About Your Instructor
Jackie Wright is the founder of The Wright Soapery, creating small-batch, handcrafted soaps using natural ingredients. A longtime friend of Prairie Fruits Farm and our neighbors at the farmers market, Jackie creates the special goat milk soap blend we sell in our farm store—combining her expertise with our farm-fresh goat milk. Her passion for teaching and commitment to accessible, sustainable skincare makes this class both educational and inspiring.

What to Wear: Comfortable clothing that covers arms and legs (long sleeves recommended). Closed-toe shoes required. We'll provide aprons and gloves.
Who Should Attend: This class is designed for adults and teens 14+. No prior experience necessary.
