Celebrate the tiny wonders of the natural world in this relaxing, beginner-friendly embroidery workshop inspired by ladybugs and dimensional textile art. In Embroidered by Nature: Spotted in Nature, you’ll learn simple hand embroidery and beginner wire-working techniques while creating your own 3D stumpwork ladybug.
What You'll Do
Using your choice of colors and decorative details, you’ll construct and embroider a dimensional stumpwork ladybug from start to finish. You’ll learn how to shape and structure your embroidery using beginner-friendly wire work, create smooth satin-stitched surfaces, and add beaded legs for texture and movement.
With hands-on instruction throughout the workshop, you’ll build confidence in foundational embroidery techniques while creating a finished decorative artwork mounted in an embroidery hoop and ready to display at home.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with at least one completed embroidered ladybug and the skills to continue exploring dimensional embroidery on your own.
