In Embroidered by Nature: Felt Splash, you'll combine simple embroidery stitches, colorful fabric scraps, and charming embellishments to create a unique felt pin inspired by nature and your own artistic style.

Whether you're new to embroidery or simply looking for a relaxing evening of making, this workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and the joy of creating something by hand.

What You'll Do

During this hands-on class, Sara will guide you through designing and stitching your own felt pin using embroidery thread, fabric scraps, and decorative charms. You'll explore color, texture, and composition while learning simple techniques that can be applied to future embroidery projects.

By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with at least one completed Felt Splash pin that's ready to wear, gift, or display.

About Your Instructor

Sara Jones is a multi-craftual cosplay competitor living in Champaign-Urbana. She works across a wide range of mediums including 2D and 3D fabrics, EVA foam, paint, LED and motor-driven electronics, leather, and more. Sara believes everyone deserves to find joy in the creative process rather than striving for perfection. Her classes focus on hands-on guidance, building confidence, and helping students trust their own artistic instincts.

Parking: General parking is available in the gravel lot. ADA parking is located south of the farmhouse. The classroom is in the white building with black trim west of the gardens. Check in at the farm store at the front of the building.
