Give new life to your favorite clothing in this hands-on Visible Mending workshop led by artist Sara Jones. In this creative and beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to repair worn garments in ways that are both functional and beautiful.

Visible mending transforms clothing repair into an art form—using stitching, color, and texture to celebrate and extend the life of well-loved garments.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore three different approaches to visible mending and learn how decorative stitching can repair and enhance clothing. Using embroidery thread, yarn, and fabric scraps, you’ll create a sampler showcasing each technique.

By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a completed mending sampler and the skills needed to begin repairing and embellishing your own clothing at home.
