Experience the flavors of our prairie home with dining at Caprae, where each meal connects you to our farm and the rich bounty of our region. The very definition of "farm-to-table," our restaurant offers a deep celebration of local ingredients, harnessing the freshest produce, meats, and dairy from our own fields and our neighbor's farms.
Join us year-round for a relaxed, curated selection of dishes that showcase the artistry and passion of our combined farm and culinary teams.
Reservations are not required, but are always appreciated! Walk-ins are welcome for all services, except our ticketed Wednesday night dinner series May through August.
For those visiting to enjoy the farm and soak in the best sunset in town, we also offer small plates and bar snacks from our full bar along with our seasonal crafted cocktail menu and a local beer and wine list. Full table service is offered at Caprae's indoor dining room and on our patio while bar service for gelato, small bites and beverages is available for guests who would like to relax under our pavilion and picnic tables.
In addition to dining, our guests are welcome to visit with our goats, walk the nature path around the lake, and purchase our award-winning cheeses and other farm and locally produced items in our farm store.

Chef Garron Sanchez, the executive chef at Caprae Restaurant at Prairie Fruits Farm, brings a wealth of experience from his years working in Chicago’s fine dining scene and the Central Coast of California. A Kendall College Culinary School alum, he returned to Central Illinois to reconnect with family and community and inspires his team at Caprae with his dedication to seasonality and local sourcing. With a deep respect for the ingredients, he collaborates closely with farmers, artisans, and purveyors, ensuring that each menu reflects what’s fresh, available, and thoughtfully produced along with featuring our farm's own award-winning goat cheese and garden offerings.
