Henry’s Farm in Congerville, Illinois boasts over 630 varieties of vegetables, many of them with Asian origins. Nestled in fertile soils of the Mackinaw River Valley, Henry Brockman’s farm exemplifies diversity, complexity and sustainability. We will create an Asian inspired vegetarian menu that is sure to highlight the qualities of the unique vegetables Henry grows.
NOTE: This is a Sunday afternoon dinner from 1-5PM.
The Menu
Upon Arrival
- Stuffed Shishito Peppers Tempura with sesame-soy and garlic sauce
- Prairie Fruits Farm Chevre and Calendula Wontons, sweet and sour honey sauce
- Asian-inspired Gazpacho, cilantro, Salsify chips
- Edamame dip with crusty baguette bread
Main Course: A Series of Delectable Dishes
- Korean Noodle Salad, Red Chili Sauce Adorned with Daikon, Carrots, Cucumbers and Mung Bean Sprouts
- Summer Rolls with Shiso, Pear, Red Pepper and Sunflower Sprouts with a Peanut Sauce
- Asian Barbequed Tofu with Green Apple and Thai Basil Slaw
- Sautéed Chinese Long Beans with Garlic Sauce
- Malaysian Eggplant Curry with Rice
- Fried Potatoes with Shallot Sambal

- An assortment of Prairie Fruits Farm Cheeses with Honeycomb and Five-Spice Apples
